So today was our second day here in Florence Italy. We were able to wake up at around 10 this morning so that was nice and it was surprisingly cool out. We all gathered in the back courtyard which was nice and calming and started orientation. They talked about the usual stuff to keep us safe and introduced themselves and what they taught. When they were talking about what we were going to be doing I got kind of pumped for learning art in Florence.
Today was also the day we got into our "cooking groups". This is when two apartments get together to make dinner together with one of the teachers supervising. Making the food was very fun and we all got to sit up on the terrace that my apartment has and watch the sunset as we ate. it was really cool and a good way to start off the trip.
Towards to end of the night, to get aquainted with the city, we had a scavenger hunt. Our cooking groups got together and the teachers gave us a list of different things to find in the area and make it back to Plazza de Republica first. My group ran all over and found almost everthing but towards the end we realized we got soething wrong. There was less than five minutes left so everyone ran really fast and it was very scary but exhiliratig. We actually did make it back on time and we won the prize. Yay!!
