So today was a really good day. We got up at around the same time we normally do which was ok considering how late it was when we got back last night, and climbed onto the bus. It was around an hour drive to get to the beach; this time it was a real beach, not like last weekend. It was a long stretch of beach and it was like a private beach so we all got chairs and umbrellas which was excellent. 
I sat with Xaymara and Claudia while Eden, Callie, and Damiana sat a little bit away. The first thing that happened was that Xaymara, Damiana, and I went down to the water to test it out with our feet. There were actual waves that one could go surfing on (and some people were) so I got some really good shots of that. We tested out the water which was constantly rising as the tide came in so we had to keep backing up. We also tried to take pictures of ourselves in midair which failed a lot but we got some pretty funny pictures anyway.
Then I just relaxed on the beach for three hours and finished my book for A.P. Lit. called “The God of Small Things”. I also managed to have a little nap and get some sun on my cheeks. Then at around four we left for the town of Pisa.
Pisa was not what I expected at all. I thought it would be a thriving metropolis but from what I saw it was actually a small town. Not only that, but the Leaning Tower of Pisa was much smaller than I expected it to be. However, it was still and interesting sight and I finally have my pictures of leaning against it and holding it up which was “on the bucket list”, though I am not sure they are very good pictures. It was also funny to see all the people doing the same pose since it is such a cliché, but Damiana and Claudia mixed it up a little and hugged and licked the tower. It was pretty funny. We were only there for 45 minutes and then we came back to San Gallo.
